No - I have not started to dribble!  That bib is mandatory - not a choice when you have the speciality dish at the Killer Prawn.  It was well worth it and THANK YOU BAYLEYS REALTY for giving us the treat.

Kiwi version of fish and chips wrapped in newspaper!  Another little "funny" from the Killer Prawn.

Fiona and Phil - New Zealand

Welcome!

Hi we have been here a couple of months now and have I think just about settled in.  We had to do some fairly major building work immediately on arrival, as a veritable river of hot water was flowing through the house behind the internal walls - the water tank had burst and it had been like that some time.  I won't spoil the Blog with horror stories about erupting sewage both inside and out, or tell the sorry tail of what the movers did to our stuff once it eventually arrived. But as you can guess we have been a bit busy - so I want you all to know you have been constantly thought of and now our internet connection seems to have resolved its erratic service I hope to be in touch with you all soon.  Make sure you save our new email address as it was simpler in the end to only use the new one from vodafone.

As I sit to type this a Kingfisher has just graced me with his presence.  He is about nine feet away from me twitching his tail and hoping for a snack on the many and varied bugs we have here.  The sun is coming out as it has rained for the last two days (you will be glad to here)!  Spring arrived officially last week and generally it is warm, humid and sometimes even hot!

I am going to join the sea kayaking club which meets twice weekly down at the local beach and maybe try a spot of fishing too.  Phil has found some music buddies and manages to play a couple of times a week - so he is happy.  Look out for the new posts as it the easiest way of sharing pictures with you.  Remember to post back some comments for me too.
 xx Fiona

PS - Remember to go to the bottom of the page and hit "older posts" and keep doing that till you get to where you last were - or the start if this is your first time.  Otherwise it does not make sense as you will be reading it in reverse order.  But the bloggers among you will already know this so sorry for pointing out the obvious. xx bye.
